How to playback Flash Video (FLV)?
TVedia has a built-in DirectShow filter that can stream Flash Video over HTTP or read locally saved FLV files. However, you need proper video and audio decoders to playback FLV content. Audio streams in FLV are often MP3, so a MP3 decoder suffices. Video streams in FLV are either H.263 or VP6 (H.263 is compatible with Macromedia Flash Players before version 8, and VP6 is the newer video compression protocol supported by Macromedia Flash Player version 8 or newer). To decode H.263 video (which is used by most online video sites, for example YouTube and Google Video) you can install FFDSHOW filter; please make sure you enable FLV1 decoding from FFDSHOW property page (by default it's turned off, and TVedia's installer tries to turn it on, but you may need to double check if playback fails). To decode VP6 video, you can install the free VP6 decoder from ON2 Technologies.
