Large collection management with ease
TVedia's powerful database engine combined with meticulously designed user interface, allows users to manage large music collections with ease.
When browsing music, users can filter by genre, artist, album, or album by year. When genre is chosen, either artist or album can be selected. The result song list can then be ordered and grouped by title, track, rating, and album. In the case that a direct song access is desirable, all songs can be listed, or user can browse by folder structure. Music video, movies and pictures can be browsed and accessed in a similar fashion.
Meta data and cover art services saves users time and effort
In order to support such rich functionalities, media collection software has traditionally been asking users to enter relevant meta data for every item in user's collection, or relies on existing tags in the files. If users want cover art, they have to download it and put in the album folder themselves. In the event that a song is not labeled, nothing is done. It's so called "crap in crap out".
TVedia's media importer has raised the standard. TVedia's media scan wizard allows users to import media into TVedia fully automatically or semiautomatically if users would like more control. When importing digital media content, TVedia tries to identify a song or a movie by looking at all available information, including filename of the item, and meta tags in the file. It connects to Amazon.com's web service to retrieve more meta information and cover art if some identifiable information is present in the tags.
Automatic update function keeps your collection in sync
TVedia can also monitor the media collection for changes, and update the database automatically. External changes are reflected in TVedia's media library right away. For example, if you use a tag editor to change the artist name on the song, TVedia will see the changes, and update media library with the new artist name automatically.
