Media Center Remote Control

Media Center software is designed to display user interface full screen, viewed and controlled from a distance. Infrared remote control is by far the most common input device in this setting. People are very familiar with the use of remote control in the living room, and can easily figure out how to use remote control to control a Media Center PC.

To make it easier for users to start using TVedia quickly, a number of remote control devices are supported, including Windows Media Center remote control (USB), StreamZap remote control (USB), USBUIRT remote control receiver (USB port), and IRMan remote control receiver (COM serial port).

Both the Windows Media Center remote control and StreamZap remote control can be used out of the box. Remote buttons have already been configured to control TVedia. Please refer to remote control button mapping table.

When a remote control receiver is used, such as USBUIRT and IRMan, users can choose to use an existing remote control, but the receivers must learn remote control codes from the remote control. To facilitate the learning process, TVedia offers a Remote Control Wizard. You can start the remote control code learning process, TVedia will prompt you for the remote control button to press. You can skip buttons you don't want to learn, or learn multiple remote codes for the same button, so you can use multiple remote controls at the same time.
