Setting cover art for imported media files
To avoid showing boring looking placeholder images for album cover art and movies, TVedia uses multiple methods to retrieve cover art images. First, it examines the ID3 tags of the file; if an image is present, it's retrieved, and set as the file's cover art. If not, the folder.jpg file is used as cover art if present. If searching cover art locally fails, TVedia connects to both Amazon.com and AMG servers for CD and DVD cover art images. For most popular titles, using this method, TVedia can successfully retrieve cover art images online. However, there are cases that TVedia either fails to find a match to retrieve cover art, or the retrieved cover art is incorrect for some reason. User will need to manually correct the problem.
The CD/DVD box images in TVedia are active, which means they can accept drag and drop requests. Users can drag an image either from local drive, or from an online web page, and drop the cover art onto the CD/DVD box image. The cover art will be assigned to the media item. To delete a cover art, simply press the DELETE button when focus is on the cover art. Note, drag and drop and DELETE only works for files residing on the same computer. A media file that's served from a UPnP server on the home network cannot have its cover art changed this way. You have to run TVedia on that server to modify the cover art images.
