Setting up remote controls
TVedia natively supports Windows Media Center edition remote control, StreamZap remote control, and SigmaDesigns Xcard remote control. You don't need to configure anything for it to work. See the remote control button map for more details. Keyboard input is also supported with shortcut keys assigned.
You may also choose to use a remote control receiver such as USBUIRT and IRMan, so you can use an existing remote control. In this case, you need to train TVedia to learn the remote control codes. TVedia's remote control wizard helps you to go through the process smoothly.
On the second wizard page, you get to choose which remote control type to use. If USBUIRT or IRMan is chose, the next screen lists all the buttons that can be learnt. You can choose any button to start learning. A dialog box then shows up and asks you to press the corresponding remote control button. Once pressed, you can choose to keep learning the next remote control button, or stop. Multiple remote control codes can be learnt for the same button. This allows you to use multiple remote controls to control TVedia.
